Awesome Tech!

OK, we all know I love robots. I admit it. But you gotta admit that the video of this robot car is just so cool. The car has passengers, but... no driver! The steering is a little jerky, though, so I hope it doesn't have to drive on icy roads. I guess it uses GPS to figure out where to go, and it has camera, ladar and such to keep from running into things. It is going to compete in the Urban Challenge. Too bad the competition is out west, or we might go see for ourselves.

And this device is awesome .. for all the various climbing activities I do :-) I don't want to be Batman, though. Catwoman, maybe... I was quite happy to discover that it also can be used to climb down! If not, you might have to call the fire department to come rescue me (then they would use one of these...)
