Physics Teachers' Meeting

The Illinois Section of the American Association of Physics Teachers is holding its spring meeting at Western Illinois University next weekend (March 30-31).

Some of the highlights of the meeting (in my opinion):

*Friday morning workshop on high school robotics (I know, I know)

*Friday evening banquet speaker: Dr. John S. Rigden, "What Do Physics Instruction and Loss of Memory Have in Common?" I'm curious what that's about!

*Saturday morning talk: Dr. Laura E. McCullough, "Cannonballs or Baby's Bowls: How Context and Gender affect Physics Tests" Another title that makes me curious.

*Contributed papers on Friday and Saturday, including demos, mythbuster-type labs, Iowa State Solar Racing Vehicle, and much more.

Anyone interested? Register online by Friday, if you want to go to the banquet.
