This counts as good advice:
Don't weed your flowerbed in shorts, unless you're sure none of the weeds you are sitting among is poison ivy. :-S

Eeep. Your not supposed to sit in poison ivy. Tsk tsk. I hope it's not a bad case of poison ivy.
Yeah, I know. As the billboard says, "Brilliant."
Actually I was sitting in the grass. There was a brushy area behind me, notorious for poison ivy. When I found poison ivy in the flower bed in front of me, I pulled it out (with gloves). I'm guessing the poison ivy had vined its way from the brushy area to the flower bed, and even though it had been mowed off in the grassy area between, it was still able to give me a wonderful rash! @#$%
