UFO's Got Nothing On This Thing
Now I'm no hawk, but the stealth bomber is a sight to behold - if you can see it ;-) I've read about it and seen pictures, but was never that impressed until I saw it in person. I don't know that I should try to describe it here, you may not be impressed until you see it in person either.
We're in Missouri, near Whiteman Airbase, for a Vogel family reunion. As we were driving along highway 50, we saw a B-2 banking in front of us. As you see it bank, you recognize it's top-on profile (as in the photo here), but once it levels off, it is a very small line in the sky. It looked like a dragonfly, rather than an airplane. And when one flew right over our car, I was amazed by how little sound it made - I guess it should have been obvious that you can't be stealthy if you are noisy, but I never realized a plane could be so quiet.
