Catch me now, before it's too late

If you have anything you need to say to me, you might want to say it this weekend. I will be mostly incommunicado all next week. We are taking a vacation to Michigan, and I will be hanging out at the beach, camping, picking cherries, eating cherries, looking for Petosky stones, and other random relaxing stuff. I may get a chance or two to check my e-mail, but don't bet on it.

This also means that there likely won't be a lesson this Monday. That's OK. Just look around you - physics lessons are everywhere!

Also, remember there are still Whitey's gift certificates waiting to be claimed by anyone who finishes answering blog contest #3. What's left to be answered? This: What would happen to a tire which is already rolling, if it rolled onto a totally flat, totally frictionless surface? Would there still be rolling resistance taking away its kinetic energy? If so, how would it slow it down, when there is no frictional horizontal force? Hmmm...
