Meeting Minutes, and Our Boat - With Photos

Meeting minutes from Oct. 25th
-Courtesy of Alaina

-We need rowers (and cheerers! ~cv) for the Cardboard Boat Regatta on Saturday at 10 am.

-The Astronomy Open House is Saturday Nov. 3rd from 7:30 to 9:30 pm. We need volunteers for this event. Also if you volunteer please show up a little early so you can get set up. So far volunteers are Alaina, Laura, Jenna, Kyle.

-We need someone to write up a proposal for the Marsh White Award. The money that we would get would be used to buy equipment for demos. The due date is Nov. 15th.

-We have a few people writing a proposal for the Research Award to get money for the Spy Laser project. They are Rose, Kristen, Laura, and Gabe. We are hoping to build a laser that would allow us to 'spy' on a building that would be across campus.

P.S.
Our cardboard boat (AKA Schroedinger's Boat) has really come together, just ask Jim van Howe, who said, "It looks like a real boat. Let's take it out on the Mississippi!" Here are the photos.

Tomorrow at 11:30, Laura and Alaina will be working on painting words and decorations on the boat. If you are feeling creative, join them in Science 107 or behind the Science Bldg.
