A Bunch of FYI's
Don't forget the first Physics Club meeting of the term this Thursday at 11:30. Unless there is a big outcry from people who can't make it, we'll get together before the meeting to put up our tree and decorations. How does 11:00 sound?
The Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago has a Star Wars exhibit currently. It won't be there anymore when we get back from break, so either we make a really quick field trip, or anyone who's interested can go on their own (if it's a fieldtrip, dues-paying members get half-off admission!)
There will be a high-school visit day on Jan 19. We'd like to have some current (or former) students be there to show them some of our outreach demos, tell them about being a student in the department, and answer questions. Volunteers?
Check out the gallery of images taken last term by students in Experimental Astrophysics.
The Science Night last Thursday went extremely well. Our demos were the hit of the night (especially liquid nitrogen, as you might guess!) Thanks to those of you who braved wintery roads to show the kids the fun of physics!
