Robots Rule!

I'm off to Chicago tomorrow for the Midwest Regional FIRST Robotics Competition. We arrive Wed eve, Thursday is a practice day, and the actual competition is Friday - Saturday.

Stop by UIC if you're going to be nearby, or go to the site linked above and click on Live Webcast. There's nothing there now, but I'm guessing that on Friday and Saturday there will be a live webcast. I'm just guessing :-)

This week also marks the end of my sabbatical. Students, beware, I'll be back spring term. No more, "I'm not actually here!" It's been a good sabbatical. I've learned a lot, and spent a lot of money. I really wish I had gotten more done, but I'm told that is a common sabbatical experience. I guess that makes me feel better. A little.

Oh, and that's not my baby, that's Jim van Howe's daughter Eloise, who is now one month old!
