Shameful & Shameless

Watched Monk last night. I generally enjoy the show, but last night I could hardly get past the shameful physics. Monks friends were enjoying a double rainbow (I love double rainbows - very dangerous while I'm driving). They were making a big point that Monk couldn't enjoy the rainbow because of his psychological issues, so they kept showing people looking at it - over and over. Unfortunately, over and over, the people supposedly looking at the rainbow were facing the sun, squinting, with their shadows behind them. As you can see from the Descartes sketch shown here, the sun must be behind you, reflecting off a raindrop, in order for you to see the rainbow. See - this is why everyone should take physics :D
In other news: look what happened to my statcounter, when I spammed all of campus with a shameless plug for my previous post about the LHC.

I saw a rainbow today. It was cool.
Heh, I think that beats my large amount of people I've accumulated over the past month coming to my blog searching for pictures of baby dragons.
Oh, and the one guy did know what he was talking about, I think, which is pretty weird since he was a physiology/sociology major.
alainadragon: rainbows and baby dragons - so cool.
monk writers: at least you aren't as bad as this - http://jp.youtube.com/watch?v=w3qFdbUEq5s
