Physics Club Meeting Minutes

Here are the club meeting minutes from 1/15/09, courtesy of Mike H:

1. science of toys open house Feb. 8th
        -Kyle is supposed to advertise
        -we are still looking for a few ideas on demos
2. the duck sale will be postponed until next term.
3. We are looking for T-shirt ideas
4. Fundraiser - Bake sale/old t-shirt sale week 10 the 10-12th
5. Saturday January 24th, 2009 :
        10:15-11:30 open house
        11:30-12:30 Test of prospective students
6. March 13-16 in pittsburgh APS
7. april is APS in Denver

*Check your toyboxes for physics-related toys for the open house! We have a couple pull-back cars, tops, yo-yos, balls, slinkies, boomwhackers, hummers (the noisy plastic tubes, not the oversized SUV's!), bubble soap, and a few others. Does anyone have Operation? Magnetix? bobbleheads? what else???

* Contact Jess if you are interested in going to the American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT) meeting in Chicago February 12-16. Jess will be presenting (I think she said Friday) on our open houses.
