Aye, Matey!

In honor of Talk Like a Pirate Day, I am going to make a public plea for my local school district to change their mascot to the Sherrarrrrrrd Pirates. Purple and gold is way more appropriate for pirates than for tigers, anyway!

By the way, the physics club is planning on holding a Zone meeting for the SPS chapters in our region. We had a great meeting a few years ago, and have to live up to our reputation! This time we are thinking of relating our theme to the 400th anniversary of the Galileo telescope - one idea was "Galileo vs Einstein" (modified from the original pirates v. ninjas idea). Anyone have ideas for relevant speakers, activities, etc?
