Minutes of the Sep 14 Meeting

-A big thank you to Jenna for the free pizza at today's meeting.

-Next meeting we will be voting on what to do with dues. There are two options: We can keep dues as they are now, $5 for the year, or we change it to $5 each term. The second options alows for us to do more activities that cost money.

-We are going to go see Superman Returns at the IMAX on Sunday the 24th at 3pm. We should probably meet at the north end of the Science Building so those who are driving can take those who aren't.

-Homecoming:

-We will be participating in the cardboard regatta (the boat race) on Oct. 14th. If you want to help out with building the boat please contact Rachel or Alaina.

-We are having an open house on Oct. 1st for family weekend. We will be doing the Franklin open house again. If anyone wants to help please contact Jenna.

-We want posters for our room. Donations of posters are accepted as well as ideas.

-Other stuff we might want to do throughout the year:

-Sigma Xi meeting in Detroit. Nov. 2-5

-Iowa State Virtual Reality

-Panel discusions - ideas?

-trips to either Fermi or Argonne

-finish the hovercraft

-T-shirt - start thinking of ideas

-science olympics

-Planetarium open house on Oct. 28th - we need help
