Upcoming Events

Can you believe it's week 10 already?!

Here are some things coming up, if you aren't already too busy at the end of the term:

Tuesday, Nov 7: Get out and vote! (especially if you agree with me ;-)

Tuesday, Nov 7: APOP* meeting 10:30 in room 120. Meeting to organize outreach and tie-die T-shirts for our outreach volunteers. If you can't make the meeting, but would still like to volunteer, contact Jenna McAdam.

Wednesday, Nov 8: Outreach to Denkmann Elementary. Leaving room 120 at 10 am, returning about noon.

Thursday, Nov 9: Physics club meeting 11:30 room 120. John Wagle will be making a presentation on the 2006 Physics Nobel Prize. Also: updates on grant applications for outreach and panel discussion (Ryan and Laura?). And, as always: PIZZA!

Thursday, Nov 9: 12:00 Leave from the club meeting to do outreach at Denkmann Elementary. We'll be doing demos in three classes 12:30-1:15, 1:15-2:00, 2:00-2:45.

Thursday, Nov 16: Outreach to Math and Science Night at Washington Elementary in Davenport. Leaving about 5, returning about 8. There will be pizza!

Looking further into the future: Set aside Sunday, Dec 3 for a trip to Fermilab for a tour and presentation entitled "I've Got the World on a String" by Joseph Lykken. Register online now.
