Open House, Boat Building, and Rope Pull

The news of the day:

The open house today went well. The demos were a lot of fun and seemed to connect well with the kids (photos coming soon!). A Dispatch/Argus newspaper reporter and a channel 4 newsperson were there, so we might get some publicity.

I only wish they would do the publicity before the event instead of after. We didn't have a large turnout. Maybe the weather was too nice. Sounds like we will start getting more publicity help from the administration this year, so that should help. yay!

Also, more boat building tomorrow (Monday) starting at 2ish. Come when you can. Give a call at x3407 or 3408 before you come down, if you think we might have left already. We probably will be working on it every day this week to get it all painted and ready for the big day on Saturday!

Coming up this Thursday evening - the physics club will be competing, and we need all the help we can get. Come give us a hand!
